Join the Alumni Association and the Community Service Learning Center during the week of March 26-31, 2012 and show your community how much Grand Valley Lakers care. Join the Grand Valley State University Football Program for the 17th annual Spring Classic on April 14, 2012. Welcome the newest graduates to the alumni community during this year’s Spring GradFest April 16-19, 2012. The festivities are held at both the Allendale and Pew Campus. Alumni volunteers are needed to assist the new grads with commencement necessities and information about the perks that come with alumni membership. Florida Alumni to Root for the Tigers at Spring Training
Spring Training is underway in Florida! Tampa Club Leader Tara Crow, 97 invites alumni and friends to Joker Marchant Stadium to watch the Tiger’s go head to head with the New York Yankees on March 24, 2012. Get your fill of hotdogs at the all-you-can-eat ballpark lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Then watch the game from the reserved alumni seats along the left field line. GVSU's most recent accountability report was a hot topic of discussion. The next New York Alumni Club event is a Yankees game scheduled for May 10, 2012.
GVSU Football Fan Trip to Oregon
Attention football fans! The Alumni Association invites you to live it up Laker-style at this year’s Laker football fan trip to Oregon August 30-September 2, 2012. The event will start at 3:30 p.m. in the Loosemore Auditorium on the downtown Pew Campus. The Grand Valley State University Women’s Center invites you to Ready to Run on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This all-day campaign training program prepares and educates women who want to engage more in their government and run for office. Learn how to fundraise, use the media, and develop key campaign strategies. Admission includes breakfast and lunch. Register by April 1, 2012 to receive a discounted rate.
